    De-worming chickens.

I want to worm but am SO torn on what to use, I would really really rather use a natural wormer, has anyone used Cayanne? or anything else? I do use Diatomaceous Earth in my coops, and dust the birds with it and put it in their food occasionally...any other suggestions? We do not use any...

My hens are 30 weeks and STILL not laying...around 24 weeks we found 5 hens that were currently laying that their owner was giving them away due to a move, we snatched them up and brought them home...hoping this would encourage the younger girls to start laying...still nothing. ITS DRIVING ME...

Quote: I hate bug zappers. They kill more beneficial insects than the pests that bother you. I bought some "calm Coat" from manna pro, its organic bug be gone for my goats, but it works fantastic on people too. not even kidding and it smells fantastic. I think I paid 9$ for a big ole bottle...

Quote: Just a suggestion for your roost, rather than a branch use a 2x4 on the flat. The birds can stand on it and in the winter they have a much easier time of lowering over their feet. With a perch they must grasp they are constantly jostling for position and can't expand their feathers...
