I just noticed this bloody poop this morning. There are a couple droppings like this in their coop. It just happened overnight. I believe it’s coccidiosis but wanted some opinions. No one is acting any different than yesterday. If this is coccidiosis, how do I treat it?
Yes I see the difference for the water storage basin and storage tank. The problem is the one overflows into the other. If you put too much water in it leave the middle with water exposed and the chicks could drown. Definitely not user friendly. It’s been great until this point though.
I have the Impeckables incubator from Tractor Supply. It was in clearance last season so I figured I would give it a try. There were no tubes but it did come with a bottle marked with 100ml and 150 ml. It said to use 150 ml so that’s what I did. If I use more it goes into the water reservoir...
This is my first time incubating chicken eggs. I did a dry hatch and the humidity would range between 25-30%. The incubator is on day 18 and today when I removed the turning tray and put water in to increase the humidity I noticed 2 chicks have popped through the shell and I can hear one...
I posted some pictures when he was 8 weeks old and had votes of a rooster. Here are some updated pictures and I’m hoping everyone still thinks roo. He is now 11 weeks.
Is it possible for EE to have single combs. I bought 7 EE and 2 were labeled Amereraucana. Those 2 are the only ones with a pea comb and muffs and beard.
Yes we bought the chicks on April 30. The bin was labeled EE but we got them from TS so it possible it’s not an EE.
This is another picture…maybe it will help figuring out breed.
This 13 week EE is my Aunt‘s chicken. She sent me this picture today and I was shocked to see how much comb and wattles she has. We both bought EEs at the same time and this one is the only one with a big comb. Any thoughts on gender?
This chick is 4 weeks old. I bought her at TS and she was labeled as an Ameraucana. I know she is most likely an EE but my question is is she a pullet or roo? Her tail is very long compared to the other one I have. I have never had a chick with a tail like hers which is scaring me that she may...
This is what she looks like now. I’m assuming an EE. I’m not sure what she is mixed with. She has some red in her feathers around her neck and she has some feathering on her legs. Any thoughts on what she is mixed with?
Any thoughts on this beautiful GLW? Her wattles are growing but haven’t changed in a couple weeks. Her comb also isn’t red it’s pink. I’m not familiar with rose combs so I’m not sure what to look for.
This GLW is just about 4 weeks. Her name is Belle. I know it’s early but for the last 2 weeks I had a gut feeling that Belle might be Billy...so we have been calling her Billy Belle. Just today when I had her out I noticed the wattles are developing and pinkish red. I’m not familiar with rose...
I bought this little girl thinking she was a Blue Andalusian. She started getting feathers on her legs and it looks like she has a pea comb. Also I know it early but does she possibly look like it may be a he. The comb is starting to get pink. I never had a chicken with a pea comb so I’m not...
I bought a SLW but she does not look like one to me. I never had this breed before so I’m not familiar with it. She looks nothing like the GLW that I have. Her legs are a different color and she has a single comb which I read can happen with this breed. Her breast feathers coming in look black...
I got her from a feed store. I don’t know where they got their chicks from. Now I’m wondering if any of the chicks I bought from them are what I thought I was buying. Yesterday I posted a picture of what I was told was a Blue Andalusian and someone suggested it may be an EE.
