    Weimaraner and Chickens - need help

    All weims have different attitudes and demeanors, depending on how they are raised and what theyre parents were like. Im not sure what suggestions I would have now about the dog, but I wonder if it would have been different if she would have let the dogs and chickens interact from the start...

    Wow thank you so much for voting!! A few of you asked for more in progress pics, unfortunately I dont have a lot I really dont have any pictures of the interior and we never took pictures of the engine because....well....its pretty plain lol. Here are a couple of pictures that I do have.

    friendly chickens

    I have had bantam barred rocks for a while now and they are ridiculously friendly. When I got in the barn now to mess with their food or water, they always jump down from the roost onto my shoulders. They really are such friendly and very calm birds. Completely loving

    Looks like mom may have had some Aracauna in her, that might explain the off color.

    They are both nice looking barreds. The one on the left has slighter cleaner barring than the other one, but hey, why not give them both a shot.

    oh I know what it is. It is a bantam buff brahma. The barred cochins are in their own pen and the only other bantams we have are the brahmas. So who wants babies??? lol

    So the first chick is finally out, all have pipped but havent made much progress. SO I said i had 5 bantam barred cochin eggs in the bator right? Well it seems as if my mom got the eggs a little messed up because the first chick out is definitely not a barred!!!

    Meyer or McMurray?

    I have ordered from both and while I havent had too many problems fro McMurray, the quality of the birds suck. If you want prettier birds, and better customer service, I would go with Meyer.

    I have 5 barred bantam cochin eggs in the bator now. Last night we started hearing peeping and seeing lots of movement. The first one pipped at 11:30 and the second sometime before 5:30. I just got my third pip but the first chick still hasnt done anything yet. Im too impatient for this stuff...
