I appreciate your response, I plan to spread it inside and outside my coop, in and around the run and most definitely around the perimeter of the house.
You are so right, I didn't even think of fossils being water proof. I guess I need to read about it more.
I finally have my DE ready to spread, but it is raining these days here in Alabama. My question is that if I spread DE every where, and it rains, will it still work, does it stay effective even after? Also hopw long does it take to kill the ants?
Where did you go to Henry, sorry speckledhen, I just had to ask this. (so sorry to hear about Zane, is he the one with injury on the neck and the wrong ointment?) Was it on some ranch, can girls go to learn all that there??

Hey, you have two breeders around you. And that chicken thing....thats a promise, maybe not for myself, but for anyone who might be interested when i come to visit.
The picture above is Pocahontas, and she is one lucky bird to go home with two of the best parents, along with "Dot & Dash" my Millie Fleurs. Thankyou Charlie & Marybeth (Cracker on BYC), It was so nice to meet you.
Also, Tony and Brooke (HomeandBarnBasics), I thank you and Anthony to give...
Hmmm...tempting Marie MArtin, but now I guess, I'll build them an aviary in the garage, maybe after my internship is over I'll come see you and get some parrot finches from your town.
I want to sell this easter egger, hatched on the 31st of July, out of a blue egg from one of the BYC breeder's eggs. To me she looks like a pullet. Please let me know if you are interested or want to see more pics.
Hey, I just want to say how much I appreciate every knowlegable person on this forum, I have deleted all my pics from photo bucket, and have set it to private too.
I'm so sorry it happened to you hinkjc, but I'm glad that you found out atleast.
The millies were born on the 8th of June, so almost 7-8 wks. The last one is an easter egger, looks like a pullet, had hatched from a blue egg of a BYC breeder on the 31st of July.
