    The Welsummers are easy, any with red breasts and gold on the back of their necks are females. Welsummer roosters will have a black breast and tail. I see 2 males above total so far.

    The Sultan Bantam I had turned into a nightmare meanie toward peopl and was difficult to remove because the breed was too exotic. If he gets along with your Cochin and they're raised together from chicks, it shouldn't be an issue.

    You sort of just get a trained eye over time to see males, specifically of these guys the giveaway is the sickle (sythe) shape of their tails.

    Yes, this statement is correct. Not all Hatchery Mille Fleur D'uccles have beards or muffs. Some literally market them as "booted bantams" instead. Even without a beard, this breed is incredibly easy to tame and are friendly little bird who.are likely to go broody within a couple springs 🙂
