    First snow. Hubby replaced the pieces on the top with a fitted foam lid. You can see how deep the snow was on the cinder block. I put my ear down by the opening and heard a very healthy buzz. :)

    Going to the chiropractor today. Low of 21° and I'm hoping that the ground is still plenty warm enough that I don't have to worry about icy roads, as we got measurable snow yesterday and overnight. My back really needs the adjustment, so I really need to go. I hope I'm worried about nothing.

    I'll be planting the mahonia seeds in the spring. Some direct sow and some in pots in the green house in March or April. Fall is just too busy to plan where to put something like that.

    Same here. The nearest grocery store is about 12 miles away. There is no public transportation. When I lived in the city, I used the bus, rode my bike, and walked.
