Local met said down to only 30f tonight but you could see a stray snowflake early am.

Could be frost and first flake all in same day????

27. Maybe 26. Depends on which weatherman we listen to. No precip expected. 0% chance of rain, next three days. If it frosts, it will be due to yesterday's rains - still plenty of moisture in the upper inches of soil.

We got our first measurable snow yesterday. I can't recall a year when we've had measurable snow on the ground as our first snow. It's always been flakes in the air that melt on contact.

More snow over night, and some of the back roads were slippery in some spots, thanks to a low of 23°. I had to go to the chiropractor. I was a bit nervous, but everything was fine by the time I got to the next county. There is a huge difference between the road maintenance in our county and the next one to the west.

I'm very grateful that hubby got the Falcon plow running again. That was a long exercise (since June) in frustration.

Its beautiful. and absolutely NOT for me. My blood has become VERY thin as I age. (So has my heat tolerance - I was out sweating at 75 degrees yesterday).
