Bummer. When I saw chicks at my local TSC all of them were straight run, but over at the feed stores they were sexed, more breeds and cheaper

Did you buy straight run? Or is this a case of TSC mislabeling a bin? That's pretty discouraging to have to deal with right at the start of building up a flock.

They were labeled as Pullets. Only $1 a piece. Visiting a farm on Monday, the women sells hens that are 12-16 weeks, gonna try w a few of those. As far as the Roos go, there’s a sanctuary near us, so they are gonna head there in a few more weeks.

Sounds like an error on their end, then. Likelihood of buying properly sexed pullets from a correctly labeled pullet bin and getting that many boys is really low (10% mis-sexing is the norm). Sorry that happened to you, but glad you have options for getting new birds, and unloading the boys.
