    Lavender Ameraucana vs Olive Egger

Hello! I recently got a couple birds from a backyard breeder. One is supposed to be a Lavender Ameraucana, and one is supposed to be and Olive Egger, but they look nearly identical at this stage. Is it possible to have a Lavender Olive Egger? She put a leg band on the Olive Egger so seems...

    I’ve got an imposter

...crowing (or at least trying to). All of my birds are between 7-12 weeks old. There are absolutely only 2 it could be and I REALLY think my ameraucana is a hen. BUT he/she displays a lot of behaviors that are more rooster like. So I’ll post some pictures here. The other suspect is a little...

Multi-Chick ID Help: Some mysteries to me, and some I'm second guessing.

...single comb. Best guess is an Egyptian Fayoumi, but again, I've never actually had one so I'm not sure. 8. I think this is one of their "Ameraucana" chicks (Easter Egger), but the head pattern is throwing me off. Others I've ordered through them have had more of a chipmunk pattern, but this...

Is this a Bantam Splash Ameraucana?

I purchased two silkies, one bantam green queen and one bantam splash ameraucana last Monday from a hatchery. They’re all supposed to be sexed females but when I was putting them in their brooder I noticed the Ameraucana is twice the size of the other three. I contacted the hatchery asking if...

    Ameraucana or Easter Egger?

...me an amazing looking rooster this evening. I finally have a rooster to look after my 5 hens. I have never raised any Easter Eggers or Ameraucanas before so I have no idea which this is. He said it was sold to him as an Ameraucana but it probably came from TSC or RuralKing so who knows if...

Lavender Ameraucana and Olive Egger Both Roos?

Really hoping at least one is a girl. Hatch date of 3/21 so coming up on 8 weeks old. The Ameraucana definitely has a bumpier comb, but the olive egger is also pinking up and is SO SLOW to feather. These two are the olive egger. And these are the Ameraucana Thanks for the help!

    Grey colored EE roo, yes?

Subaru, we suspected around 2 weeks was a roo. He's smaller than his hatchmates, probably due to his parentage (blue wheaten Ameraucana dad x ermine amerucana/BCM mom) he's the grey colored one, tried to get different shots He is a rooster, yes? Want to make certain before finding homes 9...

EE with no muffs - what color egg?

I know this is probably a dumb question but we picked up 3 "Ameraucanas" from IFA to add to our flock. 2 of them have super puffy cheeks and 1 does not. Does this mean the clean faced one is less likely to lay blue or green eggs? Her legs have a greenish hue, so is that a good sign? Hoping for...

What kind of hen is this?

So I just got 6 hens. This one I’m unsure if the breed, anybody know? I have had 2 light blue eggs now. I do not think that’s from the other hens. I think it’s a blue ameraucana or an Easter egger. Any thoughts?

    Araucana Pullet or Cockerel

Hi, I have hatched two Araucanas which are now 7 weeks old, and one I am feeling sure is a boy. And his comb is getting red now. The other however I have hoped is a girl. The comb is lighter with a bit of black, but no red coming in. However size of comb is concerning 🫣

    EASTER EGGER OR PRAIRIE BLUEBELL?!?!?

I purchased a few chicks and not sure what is what … Prairie Bluebells and Americanas were in the same bin at Tractor Supply! I believe from a previous post these are both females but appear very different . Both chicks are around 6 weeks old .

    Not sure what I have.

I have these 2 pretty chicks not sure what they are besides the age of 4 to 6 weeks old. The store didn't know anything else besides that. Mind you this is a place where people bring their animals they can't care for or just don't want anymore. If anyone could help with the breed I would really...

    3 Week Old Cockerel Breed

From McMurray Hatchery. I thought maybe one of their "Ameraucanas" at first (EE) because of the leg color, but the comb style is throwing me off because any I've gotten from them in the past have had small pea combs. I know it's still early, but any ideas? TIA!

Help: Is this girl an Ameraucana?

So I decided on a whim to pickup some hens at Tractor to add to my flock. This girl was in a bin with Black Wyandottes but she clearly is not a Black Wyandotte. I’ve never had a hen look similar to her so I’m struggling to identify her breed. I would appreciate the help greatly!

    Blue wheaten Ameraucana pullets?

These are 7 week old purebred blue wheatens from a reputable breeder. I received 8 and only 2 look like roos to me, 3-8 all seem to be pullets based on feather color, but I am curious as to what others with more wheaten ameraucana think.
