hi there :), forgot to post but they are here and happy, but i’ve noticed that poop gets stuck to their butt and have trouble pooping, what could possibly be the problem?

i only opened the incubator to get the first chick out because he got stuck and quickly put coconut oil on the other ones dried membrane, luckily he’s got his shell cracked open, i put him back in the incubator to get dry, he seems okay, resting for now but i’m worried about his umbilical cord.

he hatched but he was still attached to the egg, he soon pulled off the egg but has his umbilical cord attached, will he be okay? :/

i think he might be stuck, he was going good until he stopped and has been the same position for the past 3 hours, no more breaking at the moment, just like garbanzo, i might have to help break his shell but i’m giving him the full 24 hours before i attempt to crack his shell for help

i assisted him, meet Garbanzo, to honor the possible dad Pinto Beans :), i took him out quickly and cracked the other side that wasn’t cracked and peeled off the dried membrane, i put him down and it gave his last push and came out of a tiny egg :)

should i try peeling the broken eggshells & dried membrane off top assist him ?

the other egg has done this in the past 20 mins :)

there is 3 eggs in total, another one made a hole through its egg today, i think egg #3 is going to be a little late, he peeps when he hears other chicks, he hasn’t moved, he moves his foot but doesn’t move the egg.

i it’s 8:04 am, he’s been trying since around 11 am, he’s been in the same position since last night :(

just an update! is he okay? he sure is taking some long breaks :’), i’m worried his membrane is drying out and won’t be able to break out :/

Okay so, i got 2 incubators at a garage sale for 2 for $1 and i wanted to test them out so i got a couple eggs from down the street at a friends house who has lots of chickens, 3 hatched and i raised them and now they’re all big and lovely, 2 roosters and 1 hen, sadly i lost the rooster to a dog...

oh her comb is tiny :) i’m not really sure what she is, i’m sure she’s a mix of some but not sure which ones!

he’s been hatching since 12 pm, it’s been almost 10 hours now, is he okay? :(

i’m not really sure what breed the mom is??, see for yourself :)

AHH SO HAPPY

i set up camp here, i have my laptop, pillows and blankets, snacks & my rescue chick by the heater for chat, i am EGGCITED :)

added some more water through the hole on top to maintain humidity, few more cracks compared to the last picture, it’s something :D, i hear it pipping as well. playing some videos of chicks to encourage it to hatch.
