Silkies and copper Marans.

I am absolutely in love with this little chick. He/she hatched today and it’s the prettiest color I have ever seen. I have no clue what it is though. Came out of a silkie egg but doesn’t have 5 toes!

I got these silkies at a swap meet today. What gender are these? And what color are they considered?

Just wanting to see if anyone of you all could help me figure out her breed. I was thinking pit bull but not sure. I found her when she was 5 weeks old. She is now 6 months and 55 pounds.

The chick did not make it unfortunately

i can get one when i get back home. But I thought it was day 21 I had 7 other eggs that hatched fine and all the chicks are doing good. But all the eggs had dates on them except the one who seems early. I got them from a breeder.

It is possible for a chick to hatch early? I have a chick that hatched last night and it’s eyes aren’t open and it seems to tiny to be out.

All hatched but one. And then one died shortly after hatching and one is not looking to good now. But here is a pic of the 5 that are doing great! You can’t really tell that they are naked necks in this picture, but they are! Lol

Thank you! I have 5 hatched now out of 8 eggs. Two are still trying to get out. And the third egg hasn’t started.

I actually have 12 naked necks in my incubator right now so I’m excited now!! I was going to sell them but I may just keep them.

im looking to add more chickens to my current flock. I have about 15 silkies and 3 olive eggers and I’m wanting to get a breed that lays a lot. I hardly get any eggs cause most of my chickens are silkies. I want a breed that is sweet too and will get along with the others! What breeds should I get!?

That’s what I thought. I had a silkie hen before and she was more of a pet but she got killed. Then I ended up with 12 little chicks that were suppose to be silkies. They aren’t friendly at all like my other one was. I’ve handled them everyday since they were a week old and they still attack me.

I was wondering if these are full silkie... I was sold a few and was told they were full silkies as chicks but they aren’t as fluffy as all the other ones I see.

They are Cochins!
