Sadly not. I will soon be going on a long trip so I am not in a position to have babies this year. I am worried enough about care for all the animals while I am away - I have made arrangements of course, but adding babies into that mix is just too much.
I have a new twist on the insanity. I had three in the box. One gave up quite quickly - I really think she just didn’t like the squeeze.
Then Piglet gave up at about two weeks. Piglet is very food focused and I think she hated missing meals. For a few days she would leave the third hen...
Well. For several days Tassels (the black one) sat on Piglet's head (Piglet is the white one).
This worked well for me because Piglet pecks me hard when I go to gather eggs and her ability to draw blood was limited by being stuck underneath Tassels (who is much bigger than Piglet).
And then...
OMG he was adorable. I have seen pictures of him as an adult, but never as a kitten.

And here is my much missed Syllabub. I cried buckets at the vet and I still get teary thinking about him. He was only ten.
