I can’t keep my girls from eating apple seeds lol, my neighbors grow them. But what’s up with rhubarb? I don’t think they eat it but I do have a rhubarb plant, should I block it off from them just incase?
I don’t feed my girls anything moldy, too sugary or citrus too!
With the amount of racers here I’d imagine they sell some sort of pigeon specific feed… if not I’ll ask the pigeon owner I know for his recipe. Thank you!
He does have a mix of flowering from his dad and partial white from his momma(I’ve gotten fully white or fully orange chickens from her before) which could make it look patchy? But I did think the placement of the orange was a bit… rooster-y
If I still have him I’ll update here! He might be...
Now.. I know how behavior is easily written off as him being his mother’s sassy chick but I don’t think I can deny him being a cockerel any longer.
Thought it should confirm.. thick legs, reddening comb, tidbitting and dominant chick(I know hens can be dominant chicks, I just also know it can...

Well shoot looks like they’re going to new homes in a few months then 😅 (they’ll stick around until they start maturing just so I can socialize them more so that they’ll be less likely to become stew pot agressive)
Is the “golden” in golden deathlayers non-dominant? I have a couple pures and a few mixes, the rooster is a golden deathlayer. The white and black ones have a Brahma momma, the multi-colored has a white Jersey giant momma and the black one has a lavender Orpington momma.
Now what's confusing...
What would a black copper maran rooster over a splash maran hen produce? So far she’s just blue, but I’m wondering how I should expect her to feather out (still with the splash pattern? Partly red? No splash pattern?)
Parents are the last two
I’ve read up on egg shell health benefits so I’m starting to process them into a powder to add to stuff! Any recommendations for recipes? Foods, drinks, pastries, dog food powder, etc.
CW; Preserved whole/parts of poultry and/or the progress.
My rooster passed away last month, he was the best rooster I’ve ever had. Absolutely broke my heart. So we decided to preserve his feet! I wanted to see everyone else’s experience with preserving so please share here!
Here’s the...
