I would suggest you get the book, Storey's Guide to Raising Rabbits by Bob Bennett. Then find the farm advisor's office and get the information available on the 4H rabbit projects.
I have two suggestions. One, get Storey's Guide to Raising Rabbits by Bob Bennett. It will answer most of your questions. It is not expensive, and it is available on Amazon. Two, house your rabbits separately. As Bunnylady has said, rabbits get along fine with each other until they don't...
I have never used goose eggs, but if I did I would use them in baking. My mother made absolutely wonderful cakes with duck eggs. I imagine goose eggs would be the same.
I decided I am not going to adopt that dog or any dog for a while. I had just lost my beloved Sammy to liver cancer. He showed no symptoms until the end, and then he was gone in two weeks. It was rash and impulsive of me to even attempt to get another dog so soon after his passing. Chiklet, the...
I am told he is affectionate and a bit clingy. He is afraid of dogs that are bigger than he is. He has issues with grooming as well as the leash. The good news is he is susceptible to bribes. I plan to exploit that.
Those are very good suggestions. At this point I don't know if he is afraid of the leash itself or of just being leashed. I will have to ask the foster for more details.
This is a little dog. He is under eight pounds. I will not be taking him outside on a leash until he can tolerate it without going berserk. He is currently at a rescue and much about his former life is simply unknown. I have a harness that fits like a vest. I will have that put on him when I...
I am looking for advice from a dog trainer. I am considering adopting a small dog. I am told he has a severe leash phobia. Obviously, he has to get over this and be leash trained. I am not sure how to proceed. I was thinking about snapping a leash on his harness and letting him drag it around...
I really don't think that is true. Training can only do so much. A dog with a high prey drive is going to have a high prey drive no matter what. I would NEVER trust a Husky or a Malamute around any class of livestock.
I always bought mine from Murray McMurray. Even if you don't get your chicks from Murray, you would be well advised to buy a packet of their Broiler Booster. It is a vitamin electrolyte supplement formulated for meat birds, and you just add it to the water. I found it went a long way in...
This is not the same thing, but I used cayenne pepper for a while to discourage the dogs from getting into the bathroom wastebasket. It worked great until they developed a taste for cayenne pepper...
Why would it be? The animals I used this on did not react at all. They just stood there quietly for a minute or so and then dropped over dead. I think it causes cardiac arrest. I did say I used that method in an emergency.
