Ok i just found this. I have low dose aspirin. Since she is one hen mixing up a quart of gallon of water may not give her enough dosage to help. What is everyone opinion?
Thanks for the info! Our coops are to big for the umbrella to work but we do provide shade and lots of water. Our chickens free range during the day and have places they like to go to cool off.

I recently switched my hens to Kalmbach layer and since then several of them have come down with one type of ailment or another. First time in 15 years dealing with sour crop and frequent thin-shelled eggs. I can't prove it's the feed, but I'll probably be switching back to DuMOR after I run out.
Just figured I would give an update..
We are over two weeks in and the little guy/gal is doing fine. He seems to be keeping up with the others in size now and moves around the brooder with much more confidence.
We are still unsure about how his/her life will play out, but at this point we are...

HI! So she was separated and I actually got home last night, I checked over her wounds the best I could and I didn't see anything too bad. Shes been sprayed and is back in the coop (still separated but is let out with close supervison). She's doing a lot better.
