Hi so I have one duckling in the process of hatching while the other 3 eggs haven't made an internal pip yet (though 2 of them are trying). Once the duckling hatches and dries off, should I leave it in the incubator and wait for the others to hatch or put it in the brooder?
From the picture, they are red sex-links, which are high production chickens that frequently die pretty young since egg facilities rotate out their stock every 18 months or so. I've had a red sex-link and Rhode Island red die with similar symptoms within the past year. I suspect reproductive...
For me it goes
Wake up before anyone else, get told to quit being noisy. (I wake up hungry as a wolf and I'm looking for/trying to make breakfast.)
Wake up after everyone else (which I haven't done in months), "what kept you so long? Stay up too late?" and I grab whatever everyone else hasn't...
Pluck off a few leaves, lay them flat on a bit of soil (or just lay them on any surface), and wait until roots come out. Then give them a slight watering. When the new succulent is big enough, separate it from the old leaf, and plant it. Water more frequently, but make sure the soil dries out a...
The lowest lows for this week are 3/4° & they have a fully enclosed coop with shavings ready for them & access to the run via a door/ramp. But is it okay to leave the em out all night without their heat source at 3° ?
Diet is X-cel layered pellets with a freeze dried soldier flies in the morning. They mostly free range though. A 50lb bad of feed was lasting 7 adult egg laying chickens close to 8 weeks. We just introduced some younger chickens into the flock and they were finishing up their chicken grower feed...

Thanks. I'll make sure I have the brooder set up and ready, as well as the incubator in case I need to pop them in last minute. Would it be safe to go out at night and check them with a light to see how far along they are?
Luckily it's been hot as hell out so if one hatches and she isn't...
