She is bantam sized. Smaller than our silkies. Maybe 8 inches tall.
We dont have any brahma roos. We have a hen that was sold to us as a buff brahma, but shes about the size of our legbar and smaller than an orpington. Shes buff columbia colored, but I question her being a brahma because of her...
We did have an old English rooster and hen but I'm not familiar with the breed so I don't know what color they were considered. The rooster was mean as a snake so we got rid of the pair.
Thanks for your input; good information to know! We have some many different birds. As far as crested, we have a few polish, lots of silkies, and a crevecoeur, but I don't think she's laying yet. We did have a crevecoeur roo, but I don't think he reached maturity before passing.
We bought from a friend these hens as chicks. They certainly turned out to be roosters, but does anyone know what breed they may be? Thanks for your input.
I believe this chicken came from the bantam bin from Atwoods or Tractor Supply. I think it's a hen, but let me know if you think otherwise. Shes probably 4-6 months old. She could possibly have hatched from one of our barnyard mixes, but we don't have anything that looks like her. Thanks for any...
Yes, I click attach files, then the three bars in the top left, then sd card (this is where the pictures are but I also tried my phone storage and all those pictures are blurry too as in they cannot be selected), then DCIM, then camera, and I can see all my pictures but I can't click or select...
I'm trying to make a post to help me identify a breed, but when I try to upload a photo, I can't select them; they are grayish or not highlighted. I tried closing the browser and reopening, turn off phone and back on, cleared cache on browser, cleaned up space on phone. I'm using an android...
Do you recommend anything?
This was the first time I cleaned and sanitized it like that. I normally just empty it out, vacuum it, and replace the shelf liner 😬 my hatch rate began to decline and I lost several chicks from the previous batch and thought maybe I had a case of brooder pneumonia...
I'll turn it up and see what happens.
They hatched fine in the incubator. They were transferred to the brooder once dry and fluffy -around 24hours. They lived for 4-5 days total and then perished while in the brooder.
The shelf liner is brand new so I didn't see it being a cause for...
I hatched 20 perfectly healthy baby chicks aside from one with curled toes which appears to be improving without intervention and one with spraddle leg which I have taped with vet wrap and is doing better. One didn't make it out of shell well and died while still in the incubator but it's not...
