I don't have a kitchen set up especially for the eggs. I collect my eggs twice a day and store them in a refrigerator set at 39 degrees. When I pack them they are cleaned, sized and candled for quality. They are then stored in new cartons for sale at 39 degrees. It would be really nice to have a...
No, they never did come out. I did have the inspectors from the department of Ag come out and check everything when I applied to sell at the local farmers market.
That is a beautiful coop.
I love the colors. Our first coop was done is reclaimed barn wood which I love. The new much bigger coop we are going to paint. I'm not sure what color we are going to use yet so if anyone has any idea's it might help me choose. Its hard to tell in the picture but the...
There have been some awesome coops posted and I love the duck coop. I just got my page started and our coop isn't completely finished yet so I'll be adding photos with updates once it is painted.https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/cooptopia

Thanks so much for the info, I live in an area that doesn't get cold enough for frostbite and I don't plan on showing them, so I don't have any good reason for dubbing them. I think my daughter would shoot me if I tried, they are her pets.
Sorry for taking so long to reply, been very busy on the farm lately. I had to lookup dubbing and can't quite figure out why that would be done. What is the reason for dubbing?
Just received an order of chicks plus a fairly poor hatch of Cream Legbars and Swedish flower chicks for a total of 30. Started last year with 11 now I have a total of 61.
19044 + 30 = 19074
I finished up my hatch and unplugged the incubator. I couldn't see well enough to toss any during the hatch so they waited until the end for eggtopsies.
