Hello fellow duck lovers!! I have 4-5 Muscovys I need to find loving homes for. I don’t want them eaten because I love them. I’m in Gettysburg, PA. Free! This picture has Dad, “Blue” and mom “LuLu” !
I love knowing all of you have birds that stay out in all weather! I thought something was wrong with the house I had provided them when they chose to sit in the cold and rain.
LuLu used to lay daily. Now she isnt laying but she is super fat with eggs. Is this normal? She seems to be in fine health with nothing leaking out the back.
My husband wont let me have any furbabies. We LOVE our birds so much and I love to kiss and cuddle them. I currently have musvoies and boy is that some big poop. I can't bring them into the livingroom for lovins. I am thinking of a miniture of some kind like I saw at the fair. A scotchie maybe...
Sorry! I was so freaked out when asking for help I didnt even know where I was posting! I think I have it down now. LuLu is healing from mites and the wound she got from her scratching! Thanks for your interest!
Thank you so much for asking! We determined she had mites and she scratched herself so hard she sliced her throat! We treated the mites and the wound and have had to taper her feet to prevent her from reopening the wound. So far sogood!
Ok, we sprayed LuLu down with Mite Spray and following those instructions. We arent sure we see mites but it makes sense. HOWEVER , we think in all her scratching she cut her throat! She got a deep bath tonight and under the dried blood we found this. We treated it and got rid of hay and used...
Thanks for everyone helping to solve this mystery! we sprayed her down with some mite spray today and it seems to be helping a little bit but we don't see mites. This pic is what we are keeping her in.
This is LuLu. We had thought that her water dish caused a raw spot but it has not spread around her whole neck and going down her back. She is the only duckling so I know she isnt being pecked at. What do you think??
