I'm so sorry about your horses! I can't imagine losing my horse, we were about to put my horse down when my grandpa called and told us to try the meds first and see how she does, the vet was litterally getting the shot ready and we had her in our driveway.
She came and told us we would have to put her down, or have a $10,000 surgery. We called my grandpa, because he breeds horses and he's where we got her from, and he said to give her a shot that relaxes the muscles you can't control and see how she does. We also e-mailed another vet and he said...
Almost lost my horse to a twisted gut last march, but we gave her some relaxant and waited it out and at about 12:00 am she pooped, one those happiest moments.
This is a picture of my appendix mare Miracle Kiss, and she is truly a miracle, this was taken last March when she colic. The vet said that she probably wouldn't live, but she's alive and happy now! This was the only picture I could find of her right now! XD
Love QH's Mine makes me feel better when I'm sad, I just lay-down on her back and talk to her, and cry. I feel like she understands me me. I'm sorry about your horse, that stuff is tuff.
I'm sorry! It was 13 years before I finally got a horse. Might have to give her away, costs so much. But I'm telling my parents a thing or two about that! They don't want to give her away either.

My horse has practically learned the human language since I got her (she's 13) I hope you find the right horse! I got mine from my grandpa, he breeds QH, so didn't really go...
A gelding would know what to do, if you got a colt you would need a lot of a firmer hand as you could teach it bad habits that would take forever to train it not to do. If you are working with somebody it might be ok, but you can ruin a young horse very easily. But with a little patience you...
I prayed and wished that I would get a horse, it's been 2 years since I got mine! I'm trying to get a buddy for her, and she will nibble your fingers! Especially if she thinks you have a treat!
