Hi Everyone,
I like to treat my chickens and am looking for some ideas.
Just wondering what you like to treat your chickens and how often do you treat them?
I love keeping records of how many eggs I have got from my chickens since I started.
I would love to see how you keep your records or any useful methods you use?
Thank you in advance :D
Show off your favorite bird/animal.
Let's all share our favorites.
This is Hazel. She is my favorite chicken. She is a Hybrid Australorp Pullet. She is sweet and loving but can have a bed attitude but I still love her with all my heart.
Hi Everyone,
Im starting to gather together some idea's for when I build a bigger Chicken Coop and Run and how much I should be setting aside for it. Im thinking I want it to house about 20 Chickens and ill keep my old smaller coop if I ever want chicks again.

Hi everyone,
We are just about to hit Summer here and it is already starting to get extremely hot during the days.
I feel that Summer is going to be a really hot one.
Just wanted to start getting prepared for it.
How do you keep your flock cool in the warmer seasons?
Is my Light Sussex a Cockerel or Pullet?
This is the only 1 of this breed so im unable to compare it to another.
Its almost 7 weeks old and is extremely sweet and loving. Not aggressive to my other Cockerel. But the comb and wattle has me thinking?

Is there a way you can tell a female or male from the Combs?
These are Black Australorp chick that are 24 days old today and I have noticed a difference between them both.

Hi Everyone,
Thought I would make a post to share recipes, dinner ideas with each other, get to know each other a bit better and ask how to make something you would like to make.
Tonight for dinner is Slow Cooked Chicken Fajitas. I will post photos last today.
What are you having for...
This morning I checked on my 4 day old chicks that I only just purchased at 2 days old and found one dead with what looks like scabby sore on its side and under its belly.
Has anyone seen this before or have an idea on what it could have been?
I thought maybe the other chicks had pecked it then...
Hi Everyone,
I have had some issues with my chickens going missing without a trace. It got me thinking.
I would love to hear some of the predators you have encountered and how you prevented them from returning?
Thank you
Hi everyone,
Recently 5 of my pullets have gone missing while free ranging. No sign of a predator or anything but that's not the reason for this thread.
I'm just wanting to plan ahead for when I replenish my flock. What they look like as chicks and as adults.
What did your chicks look like...
Thought it would be nice to learn more about each other.

How big is your current flock?
What made you fall in love with the idea of having your own chickens?
I will go first.

I'm from Queensland, Australia.
