Hello all! I have a small farm with a lot of rescues on it! From cats to goats to lovebirds and even 1 little, adorable, hognose snake!
I finally finished building the Peacock Palace, next project is Ducks Digs which will be beside our little pond! In the meantime, I have been talking to my...
Hello! Our peafowl pens are almost done. Here are some pics.
We are using an RV carport for the inside enclosure. Each pen is about 10' x 10'. We used some heavy duty hardware cloth to divide the 2 pens. We also used the cloth for the window in the door and the window at the top of the...
Planning on making a couple of these for my peas so their food is protected from rain.
Are these a bad or a good idea? 🤷♀️
👍 If it's a good idea what height should the feed be at for them to eat comfortably.
👎 If it's a bad idea what type of feeder is better?
Thanks guys!

He has also now come out of his little leg braces and the spraddle leg and knock knees seems to have resolved!!
Initially he had vet...
Oh really? I tried to look up Violet hens but didn't really find any good pictures. Can you tell me what to look at?
I'm so new to peafowl that it should almost be illegal.
I just had a thought. I would like to share what my family and our critters do to stay prepared for evacuations for both animals as well as their human caretakers. After having to evacuate 4 times in the past 6 years I have a pretty extensive/exhaustive system that we are constantly updating and...
Thank you so very extremely much for this! I am in northern California and have had to evacuate several times. Having a list like this is worth more than gold!
Anytime I have good roosters I think it's because I have 2 or more, anytime I have bad roosters I think it's because there's only 1. Also, my banty silky 'roos are the most gentle with people and hens. More than 1 rooster has ended up in my freezer over the years because of brutish behavior...
