Hope all are well on here! I am a proud new owner of some baby peas! I have been decorating all the info I can learn on them such as housing, feed, veterinary care, etc. I am so glad there is such a wealth of info on here because other than some small articles on zoo websites and poultry breeder websites I have not found anywhere near the amount of actual information that is on BYC!
Well, just as so many others have asked, I am also curious how to id the possible sex on my babies. I am including some pictures from this morning of my 15-16 week old peas. I am told they are India blue
and their probable hatch date was in mid May this year.
I would guess they are both hens but I'm not sure
. Looking at the chest feathers one has more white along the edges than the other but they have about the same leg length I think. Honestly it doesn't matter to me it's just curiosity and seeing if I am picking up the information being doled out! Let me know what you think!
