I've never heard of ducks getting frost bite on their bills, Not saying it couldn't happen though just not sure. Keep a close eye on their bills.

I started out that way but mine were drakes that were living in our Mt river down below us. The last of my first drakes was 1 month shy of 12 yrs old when he passed away last winter.
