Nice picture. And I’m glad the green nest boxes came with you. They seem like a really good design.

I couldn’t listen - I don’t have patience for people droning on. Never got to that part. I am sure he has some good points, but I don’t think he has heard of the word succinct!

I dunno. Nothing beats curling up on a sofa with an actual book (and a cat of course).

I am trying to get better about moving books out - but I honestly find it emotionally difficult! I have a short list of ways I am most likely to die and one of the top three is being crushed by a falling bookcase.

Oh I forgot a category: 8- Books given to me by the author with a personal note in front (a few), and one book where I am mentioned in the acknowledgements (I haven't actually read that one!)

Hmmm. That is an interesting framework. I will have to give that some thought. I certainly keep those. But I also keep the following categories: 1- Books I might re-read one day (many, many) 2- Books I might refer to one day (many, many) 3- Books that remind me of certain times or events in...

I know. Me too. :love Though truth be told, I have had to give away a bunch recently just to make room ...... for more books of course!

That was my experience too. I hesitated and then got a cordless drill and haven’t looked back. It is still my favorite tool but I like my saw too. I am still a bit intimidated at the thought of a chain saw.

Invest in a good tape measure. The kind that rolls up and has both metric and imperial scales in it. I am never far from mine.

It is! So glad she likes the wicker basket. This silly cat goes in to the one I don’t use any more (though maybe I will repurpose it for chickens).

There is really no avoiding it with salmon and sour cream. Most of my meals are veggie based and so the issue doesn’t arise. This evening however she practically licked the pattern off the plate!

Happy Caturday. She is not unhappy, cross, or scared. She is watching me eat a salmon steak with sour cream and dill sauce and she is keeping a very close eye for when she is allowed to lick the plate. I know, it is disgusting. What can I say, I will wash the plate before it is used again!

Wonderful! That looks like already settled in. Everyone has claimed their spot. Nice of them to leave you the one where you can have your feet up. They must love you!

So glad to hear. Congratulations on the first day of your new lives together! 🥰 When do all the boxes arrive? The cats will assume you got all the boxes just for them and there is no need to disillusion them!

Many congratulations! :wee :wee:wee Packing and moving will be very stressful of course, but at least it is towards a wonderful goal. It will all be very satisfying once you are settled in your own place.
