Thanks for the input. You offered a lot of information here. But if I were to enter the business, which I am most likely to do, it won't be for another 6-8 years or more. So I have plenty of time to research and do everything.
Feel free to check my other thread stated in this thread. It will...
Yeah it's pretty cool here. Where I live I see all sorts of wading birds and things. I'm not by the ocean that much but some how I still manage to see some things from there. But there are also weird things that happen here. There is probably nothing weirder then seeing a pelican in a...
Well I will have to research all that, but it shouldn't be a problem. And here's a little ostrich story: One time not too long ago actually, it was like the end of march, I went to Billy's Swamp Safari in the everglades and they have ostriches in a section that you drive through on the swamp...
Well I don't know, I will have to look into different places where ostriches can be owned and have a lot of land for a reasonable price. But I have a lot of time to do so, so it's not much of a problem.
Yeah they are frightening, they also make a loud noise as well. Here is a video I found .
And they do this dance too: .
You can check those out if you want. They aren't my videos but they still show everything.
Yep, that's fine. Although I said keep room but that doesn't really matter. There are going to be different farms because to have maximum ostrich power we need a lot of ostriches and to do that we are going to need a lot of land. So here's a question, where should these farms be? I am thinking 1...
Yeah, well that can go on the application or even stated in in the job interview, because I might forget and who's to say i check this thread again to see.
I agree, the EE does look like a rooster. I'm speaking from experience, my EE looked similar (except for color). The buckeyes do look like like pullets. But don't be fooled, i once had chickens i was almost certain were pullets but then one day they started crowing. But i think they are pullets.
I had another thread asking about these things but it took a turn. This is the thread if you want to take a look: https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/ostrich-farm.1237874/ . I want this thread to be strictly what i ask so if you have any ideas on the other thread please do put it on that...
No problem, but it is still unknown to me if we can have them now. I don't think we can considering the person down the street does't seem to have theirs anymore, so we just need to keep checking in for any updates.
I don't know honestly, no site was updated so i tried to ask ChickenChipmunk but there hasn't been any answer. It says she was last seen on Sep 22, 2017 so it might be a while.
So, back to my main questions, How do I take care of these ostriches since there will be a lot of them. And how do i train them, I have to have trained ostriches so they don't try to kill me or anyone else.
Yeah, I will do that. Have to make sure everyone one can get to it safely. Yet again, i dont want any rebellious workers because they can't find their way to work.
