Imo breed some for show and others for preservation. I do believe breeding to standards can have benefits, specially in the age of all the fad breeds and crosses but we have to not be so harsh on ourself to cull quality birds because they have a very minute flaw.

There is the american gamefowl club, oegb is on facebook only same with American Game bantams. Unfortunately alot of breed clubs the last decades have been struggling, just saw a post of folks trying to revive the Sumutra association.
I'm blessed with the fact my future FIL is mexican so when it comes to the mexican game breeds he can help me with the Spanish. I know a little but not enough to get far currently, however alot of people don't have people like that in their life to help translate.

Krainkoppe in the US aren't to European standard. Imo the proper ones sound like what you want but that going to take a good few generations to produce.

Only got half/quarter Malays currently. Hoping in a few years once I got pens and everything set up to keep gamier birds safely. Ko Shamo are my weakness 😅
