So sorry to hear about your pain. Used to be my chickens may'd me HAPPY!! Now they just make me tired. Cutting way back, did not hatch any this year. TOM
Sorry to hear you are not doing well. Is this a Blue Copper. We just have to get going, chickens need to be fed, lawn needs to be mowed, garden needs to be weeded. It is spring, best time of the year. I'm 71 years old and thankful for every day
I always move my hens and roosters after dark, when they are on the roost. Much easier to catch them. We moved baby chics outside today, they were very happy.
Yes,
2016 I had a rooster "Squeek" with a coronation comb. On another thread everyone said to cull. Partly why you started this thread. You and Chooks Man taught us to find the good in this breed and work with what we have. Thank you so much. STILL WORKING TOM
Never enough snow pac or rain in Eastern Wash. We have irrigation for garden and hay fields. The summer wildfires have been terrible last 4 years! Would like to have one year without smoke all sumer!
That's good!! I liked Old Man Tom. For some computer reason I was unable to log in with that account, so I had to make another account to stay with this forum. LOVE YOU GUYS
Where is CHOOKS MAN ???
It is really hard to get it right. I put 30 eggs, Light Bramha, in the incu 1st of March. All the eggs showed fertile spot in yolks, the ones we checked, before we started the incu. Not one egg developed. I checked all of them and all were like fresh eggs. No rings, no blood, no cloudy color...
My new to me rooster with no white tail feathers. The one in the back is molting real hard. Not sure about him. Just put the one in the foreground in with 5 BCM hens. TOM
I would breed this rooster all day long. That Copper is phenomenal, perfect, beautiful. You have too bred 1, 000 chics to change a lot, that is why we all will have faults! I will bred what I like and hope they get better. TOM
