Zaccheus' first molt, and his tail feathers are gone...how embarassing!

Thank you! I did try reaching out to them but never got a response. ;(
We also got two Maticoopx 20s! We may end up with third if I can get the hang of it down. 😂🤭
Thank you so much! He really loves them and fell in love with Sumatras and Orpingtons too. 😂 At least Orpingtons are easier to...
Gosh, sorry nobody replied in all this time but maybe nobody heard of them.
So, since I haven't either, I did some checking, if it's not too late for you.
First, their Google ratings are awesome.
I checked their reviews on Facebook, and same thing. I also checked some of their pictures...
Power outage and and cooling injury depends on where the eggs are in the hatch cycle. During the fist week, the eggs will go back to hibernation mode. There can be a delay in the hatch depending on how long they eggs are cool. The middle of the cycle is more critical.
The cool down cycle helps...
I have two NR 360 incubators, I decided to try the maticoopx 30.
I ordered it through Amazon and it didn’t take but two days delivered.
It’s very easy to set up, I put two digital thermometers in there and it didn’t take no time for it to get up to temp.
The two thermometers are ready what...
Fantastic job taking on the super challenging chicken quiz! Let's review your responses to these difficult poultry questions and provide some insights into the fascinating world of chickens:
1. What is the technical name for the common red protein pigment found in chicken meat that gives it its...
I have two NR 360 incubators, I do 100% dry hatch and my hatch rate is in the 90% range.
I order a maxicoopx 30, because of good reviews, and that my turn table cracked on my NR where it slips over the shaft, otherwise wise I would have bought another NR.
TSC did replace the whole incubator...
I have 2 NR 360 incubators, and have had good hatches out of them until the last one, the plastic broke on the turn table where it slips over the metal shaft, and my eggs weren’t getting turned, TSC did replace it, they gave me a whole new incubator so that is a good thing.
I was going to buy...
I was told to turn it on by the breeder aha! But we’re trying to figure out how to properly divide it so it’s easier. I was thinking straws but then thought twice because of heat. 😬 they use cartons their whole hatch! Their eBay reviews were impressive. So many, all 5 star! 😳 I have seen it...
a few years ago before covid, I figured out feed cost to keep the hens and a rooster for a year and how many eggs I got.... 33 cents an egg, in just feed cost. Free ranging spring to fall.
So I then I started hatching and eating the cockerels. $7 a lb. I sold the extra pullets for $20.
I have...
Anyone want to give hatching tips/ advise?
Not my expertise this year 🤣

Thanks so much! I did plan to leave them vertical as that's what the seller of the eggs suggested to try for my first as that is how they hatch regardless. They had about 1,500 Ebay reviews - at 100% feedback! I was really relieved to find eggs I wanted with great ratings. She has been super...
You can go post in this thread. I think there's still others around that have also used them.

The basic stuff for incubating such as using an additional thermometer and...
I was so nervous about giving shipped eggs a go as my first hatch, but even with my expecting low hatching rates it sounds like it’s not a bad way to go! 💙 Is there a certain threshold you look for with reviews, such as % rating or minimum number of reviews if the feedback is really high? Thanks...
Thankfully we’ve had really good luck with our brooder setup so far! I do need to get some really good marbles though!
The tips for finding egg sellers really help! I was anxious about wondering how to avoid anything sketchy. Especially with websites! I have honestly never used Ebay but I made...
My 1st time incubating was eBay eggs Salmon Faverolles. Was a 6/6 hatch. Finding a good seller with good reviews is best. I hatch more shipped eggs than my own. All my incubators have been running none stop since January. With friends and family wanting chicks and I sell at my local small animal...
A thermometer/hygrometer combo is actually the best idea as space inside an incubator is sometimes limited. I usually stick with the Govee brand, but there was no room for any of them when the incubator is full, so I found some skinny ones on eBay that work great.
Shipped eggs: First rule, are...
For the first time in a long time I wanted to hatch chicken eggs this spring. Which meant buying a new incubator. I thought I would share my thoughts.
After a lot of research i settled on the Maticoopx 20 Egg Incubator to use for hatching chicken eggs from a very rare breed. I chose to get 2...
That’s awful. Yeah I try my best to read reviews, although I did candle before putting the eggs in and the air cells were tiny.
That’s awful! I did candle before setting and the air cells were tiny, although 2 had detached air cells. I will definitely take up your advice on reading reviews...
My best advice is read reviews. Air cell size is a good way to tell the eggs age. I once got an order I won in a eBay auction for a decent price. I wish I would of read reviews before bidding. The eggs had massive air cell. I still put them in the incubator and 3 days in started weeping and...
