    Correct. That chicken is melanistic which BCMs are not. She should have a pinkish comb. I think they use BCMs to make the Mystic Onyx but BCMs are a recognized breed and Mystic Onyx is a hatchery mix.

    ...sex them. Is that true? We have always had brahmas and orpingtons do we don't know much about fibros or frizzles. So far they are wanting to do a lot of sitting down flat and burring their chests in the hay. They hatched from a frizzle Easter eggers blue eggs and the dad is a mystic onyx.

    It looks like a Hoover's Hatchery Mystic Onyx or something like that with the melanization. Did you get them from a feed store?
