One of our Toms seems to be having trouble with his throat, he is having trouble swallowing. Not while eating, just as he is walking around & his hissing seems to be different, like he can't do it right. Any advise? .. Thank you
I have looked on many sites for this info.. the only answer I kept coming up with was that it is left up to the stores to determine the time frame.. Thank you all for your response's
As far as plucking, the Yardbird is fantasitc, very pleased.. Only had one problem, at the base of the drum the water leaked out pretty bad. Thinking maybe too much water pressure, at least the is what we are hoping. Did you have any water leak from the base?
WOW, that is amazing!! It takes me forever to boil all of the water for ice & the tubes, then for my final inspection. Thank you... I know after our showers there is no lingering order & my skin has never been softer..lol Think I will still boil but maybe only one time.
That is a great idea, does it get soggy at all? I thought of making little bags out of the Press & Seal plastic wrap. Just was not sure if it would be sanitary.
Thank you but I was looking for what to put on packaging labels... EX... Process date... Best Use By Date.. Trying to find the total days that should be in between the two.. Also when I freeze I use shrink bags (which I love) & freeze at the FF setting on my chest freezer, then keep it...
That is great news! Thank you so much for your input. I feel much better about purchasing one now. We have 43 coming up at the end of the month and were not looking forward to doing them by hand, the last 11 we did a few weeks ago was enough for my hands..lol I love the country life but .. yes...
I thought after the telling of the whole "story" we would hear the out come too.. Skari posted her thoughts & said she had read the law was changed... so I am guessing she won & was able to keep her girls..
We are thinking of getting a Yardbird plucker from Farm & Family this week, looks good and it is local. So no shipping & it will be here when we buy it. Tried to check out the weight it would hold but all it states is 2 birds..no weight limit.. ugh.. Anyone ever used a Yardbird Plucker? Would...
Thank you both, this will give us something to work on. It will be fun seeing what we come up with. We have raised layers for 4 years now, so adding something new will be exciting.
I know this is an older thread but wanted to say Thank You for the info about the "Parent Birds" I have been trying to find out what birds I would need to hatch Cornish Rocks. Now I understand why it was so hard to find the answer.
What is the best bedding for Cornish Rocks?? If you raise them you know why I am asking..lol We use straw which is great but I am doing a complete clean out of their coops every other day.. makes my layers (in their own part of the coop) look like they only go outside..lol We were wondering if...
Hello, we have been raising Cornish Rocks which we have purchased but would love to hatch our own. What Roo & Hen creates a Cornish Rock meat bird? Thank you
