    I have my sick hen on Denagard. How long do I need to give it to her? I think I remember reading 2 or 3 days? Is this correct? And how long after should I wait to eat her eggs? Thank you.

    No I dont have any others. We just got these hens a couple weeks ago. They are about 4 months old. New layers. I have eggs in their nest boxes and I know theyve been snooping around in there because the shavings are moved around.

    I have some new young hens that just started laying. They lay eggs in their poopy coop floor under where they sleep. I have put eggs in their nest boxes but they refuse to lay in there. What more can I do? I have never had this problem before.

    another thing is that the skin is off the entire back of his neck and I dont see how it is possible for it to ever grow back and i would think that is an area that needs to be protected so im not sure what anyone could do about that if anything.

    He seems to be improving. He has been eating and drinking. It takes him a little effort to get his neck up and down because it looks like some of the muscle was damaged.     I'm gonna see if I can get him to a vet tomorrow. I really hope he is ok. I think its on that fine line of not knowing if i should put him down or if he will improve.

    Thanks for the info. I will do this next time if I have a baby with curled up toes. This time he had curled toes but as soon as he started to stand on his own, his feet went flat. He is still doing much better and just starting to peck a little at his food.

    yes I usually use a cut bandaide and it fits so perfectly. works pretty good.

    I have successfully stitched up my hens before with a needle and thread. You dont take them out. They heal up really well like that. They dont really even feel it.

    I have cut a bandaide for their legs in the past and that has worked. This one is not really that weak anymore and seems to be trying to stand so yeah I am going to wait and see what happens. Hopefully the little one will improve soon. I just really hate it when that happens. :(
