If you want to if you do dont add alot. It is your choice. It could help prevent other diseases. Talk to the people selling the antibiotics they could advise you on what you should do
Your local feed store should have some antibiotics for poultry swine and cattle some are made for all three some just for chickens. The people that work there should advise you on whats best
Ok personally i would take it to the veterinarian. They would probly know what to do and fix it to avoid more problems, but that could lead to big vet bills. So is it sticking out of the skin? Like it pierced the skin or is it inside?
It sounds like she is getting better try putting antibiotics in her water. I had a chicken like that and it was because she had a egg break on the way out. After she pushed it out it was fine. Good luck
I have this exact same problem with my sebright chick. Clean its a butt with a wet q-tip. If you dont have any antibiotics in their water yet i think you should.
