They are all so cute!! Glad to hear you had a great hatch! I think we both went into lock down on the same day, Friday right?
Yup,.. I had a 100 % hatch rate,.. all 11 eggs hatched but 2 died shortly after.
I am happy with the 9 though.

I turned them about 8:00 am 3:00pm and around midnight.
Here is the thread with pics of the chicks I just hatched https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=399837
The incubator is just a home made foam type with a pc fan and I put a window on top.

I had a 100% hatch rate,.. all 11 eggs hatched but 2 died shortly after hatching... I am happy with the 9 chicks however.
Now I have to build a coop...lol
Final Count.. 9 healthy and happy chickens. I called my aunt in Michigan where the eggs came from and apparently there was a Bantam Cochin Rooster in the chickens and I have 4 fuzzy leggers.
I have a crazy aunt with a farm in michigan,.. I send all my extra quail and now I will send all my extra chickens to her.
Just send them to my crazy aunt,...
Craigs list is a good idea
The chicks that hatched so far seem to have fuzz on the legs..... There were a couple silkie hens in this mix of chickens where I got the eggs,.. Is that a silkie trait?
You put them pointy end down and lean the egg carton from side to side,.. you can even put a block of wood in the incubator.
Leaning the whole carton on either side each turning effectively turns the eggs from one side to the other.
This is with a digital cam through the foggy glass due to humidity. I removed the shell real quick and added a warm sponge for extra humidity. The chick is dark .. it came from one of the brown eggs.
