So I have 7 ducks that I got last year. I got 2 Perkins and 2 Rouen at the same time and then 2 weeks late got 3 khaki Campbell’s. Well just my luck we got 3 males. 1 Peking and 2 of the khakis are male. We haven’t had an issue to bad of them being together they typically stay in there own...
Thank you. I hope they all are too! I’m curious to see who the dad is gonna be. The hen is a Plymouth white rock and the dad could either be a white leghorn or an Easter egger. Either way I’m hoping for all girls
Right now they are in a box outside of the coop. So they can hear each other but that’s about it. In our barn we have 3 horse stalls that are all open to make one big area and then they have an automatic door that they can go out into an acre of fenced off area. I just didn’t want to put them...
So we got a surprise the other day. Our hen we thought was dead, she’s been gone for about 3 weeks surprised my husband and came into our barn with 3 babies in tow. I have no idea we’re she has been but they are so cute! We made a brooder box and put them in it with mama hen but this is crazy...
I didn’t even think of the tom doing it. But he very well could have because I did see him trying to get on her last night. I just assumed hawk because we have lost 2 chickens in the past week to one.
In one spot it may go into the abdominal cavity, she does seem to be pretty strong which I’m...
I will have to see what my husbands did, he’s the one that found her. It happened Tuesday and he had already sprayed the blue kote on before I had gotten home
I have a female turkey that’s about 4 1/2 months old. She got attacked by I’m assuming a hawk and her left side of the body has a huge hole in it with a lot of exposed skin. We put blue kote on it and anti pecking spray to keep the chickens away from it when they cross paths, just wondering what...
It’s 1 sack of whole grain wheat
1 sack of whole corn
1 sack of whole oats
1/3 sack of soy meal
It’s about 28-30 % protein.
I highly doubt it’s the food because they were like that before we switched it

I will definitely be getting the blue kote to try thanks! I’m hoping it’s just them getting the new feathers and that this will help deter from the others feather picking
We just went from chick starter to all flock that we are making ourselves. We don’t give them any treats yet. Mites and lice where the first thing we looked for and haven’t seen any. Thanks I will have to add more for them to hide.
The only reason we haven’t let them outside yet is because we haven’t introduced them to the older ones yet. But I will definitely get some of the sod and bring it in for them
