    Are your roosting bars the highest point in the coop?? Chickens will generally choose the highest area to roost as they feel higher is safer.

    Before I knew my hen was actually a Rooster, he was quarantined along with 2 of my new chicks/hens (we got them at the same time). After quarantine, they were let into the flock. After my roo grew a bit and started being the king of the flock, he started chasing the 2 chicks away from food, etc...

    I give my chickens cracked corn in a.m. after cleaning coop and again in p.m. when I lock them up at night. Yes it does keep them warm during cool evenings

    I use 1 capful per each gallon of water. For instance, my self-waterer holds 3 gallons of water, so I put 3 capfuls each time I fill it. My 1 gallon waterer gets 1 capful when I fill it.
