Drake help
I am a long time duck owner but haven't yet seen this. Adult drake (5yrs) is all of a sudden unable to walk, shoves along on his chest if at all, and flips on his back and can't right himself. I have seen this in ducklings and would look at niacin boost, he gets niacin, have upped it the past... -
Gosling type?
A friend got these a few weeks ago at the farm store and has no idea what breed. I raise Cotton Patch, and know these aren't them, Pilgrim, or Toulouse. Any ideas on breed? I was thinking African perhaps. Thanks! -

He is Ancona. Yes, pool and yes, he's a very preening boy. I did see another drake bullying him yesterday when I separated him and saw the rest of his body. I did not see any mites crawling. He is happily eating. We put him in a separate pen for now. -

I'm putting vetricyn and bacitracin on it and have her in clean chips. Vet wrap is a good idea if she'll keep it on. I found some silicone finger sleeves on Amazon that I can slip on once it heals. Looking for prosthetics now!- Kangasox

Update: we now have a peg-leg princess. I kept her up a few days after the accident, she got around fine after, and yesterday, two months to the day it happened, I went out to find her with a peg leg. Little bloody, so I put her up in a crate with a friend, and am looking into a silicone leg...- Kangasox

She is still hobbling around! I look at her daily and wonder what we should do long term, but her foot has kind of curled up and she walks on the heel. Her foot is clearly dead to the knee, but she seems healthy...eating, drinking, laying. I'll try to grab a pic tomorrow.- Kangasox

I'm certain this has been answered, but I can't find it searching past posts. I have incubated ducks lots of times with great success. Was thinking about incubating some chickens this year as well, and I know about the differences in humidity needs and incubation length...but can they be...- Kangasox

Ancona ducklings available in Colorado?
There is a Facebook group for Anconas that has a list of breeders and places that are npip, etc, approved to ship hatching eggs or babies. I can give the name if you want (I forget if other site links are allowed on here). I raise Anconas but in NC. -

Antibiotics for a tiny?
I did that as well. It's hard to convey in pics, but the area is fully closed, so whatever is in there has got to be dead, was thinking antibiotics more to kill whatever infection the dead nastiness might cause in the abdomen.
