This may sound weird but those are two of the nicest looking ducks I've ever seen. My neighbor has a few rouens but the colors aren't that distinct and are speckled a bit. Fawn and white Indian runners always look good though. But your ducks look very clean too! Mine play in the mud all day so I... -

That was my exact fear! But anyway I've had some get spooked too i think mallards are one of the more easily spooked breeds. -

Just saying ducks get spooked by a lot of little things. So even if they want to stay they get spooked and fly away anyways a lot of the time. And for their sake of survival clipping them is just safer. That's my opinion -

Where can you get peafowl? Or at least how did you get ahold of yours? I've been interested in getting those and turkeys. :) right now it's just ducks, chickens, and two pheasants -

A mallard raised domestically WILL NOT survive out in the wild on its own 99% of the Time. If you believe in "freedom" so much just let all your ducks go then buddy. Also not all ducks can fly I hope you realize. Edited by Staff -

get the nice house especially if it's fenced in. But if there's room under the fence I'd put so chicken wire under because cats got to one of my ducks one time ( or at least I think it was a cat) -

Hey I used to live and town and had ducks for 2 years actually I never got in any trouble. All my neighbors loved the ducks especially the ones with young kids. Even if you do its just a small fine and at that point give them away :) I think you can have the best of both worlds -
