    Is it normal for a bantam Sumatra hen to be a little larger then her rooster? My hen is like a few grams heavier... But I'm thinking this because she's a good layer. Should I try to breed my hens smaller?

    I Just came back from the Safford show I did really well I won open champion AOSB with my black sumatra cockerel here is a photo of him. Nice rooster! He looks like mine. His tail is very full, which I love in a bantam Sumatra. Where did you get this boy from?

    Well, of course the male has a red comb. And skin. He has been in a barn all his life. When Sumatras are exposed to the sun, they darken way up. The hen has been outside, so she's very dark. When spring comes around, I'll have my male out a lot more, and he'll be ready for show.
