Fluffy Butt Acres: Stories of our flock

A fine and dandy Wattles Wednesday I have to keep yelling at these criminals to stop bothering the run dwellers. They keep getting up on the coops and run and it annoys the others so much! Getting more imaging on my neck today, hopefully it's something easy to fix.

I had a hen hatch a brood two weeks ago. Everything went smoothly. I was worried about the temperatures dropping but the hen did a wonderful job with them.

Fluffy Butt Acres: Stories of our flock

Delfts babies are moved off to their new home. She wanted hatched chicks after all. And she has my number for spring when she will want zombies and silkie mixes. It wasn't as traumatic as I had thought. At bedtime last night I gently pulled the chicks into a box, then grabbed Delft and moved her...

No, I don't hand tame any. I was saying chickens as a group name instead of hens and roosters. Sorry, a bit out of sorts due to an allergic reaction today. Oh! Hubby texted me this, Delft has her bubbies in the ivory coop. I'm at an archery class and will catch up later. 💚💚

Honestly, I didn't bother hand-taming my chickens. The roosters all give me space to work, and I give them space to rooster. 🤷

Fluffy Butt Acres: Stories of our flock

Thirsty Thursday Cowspots is leading the flock of youngsters. They're rather friendly compared to him. Louis, Vuitton, and Spotty are in the white coop now. Kicked Delft and her babies out so they have a nice spot for Vuitton to recover. They're doing well. Spotty could use a crest trim if...

More twofer Polishes Vuitton seems rather perky today. Louis is leaving her alone, he tried to preen her crest and she freaked out. But then a bit later he was preening her beard and she was okay.

Fluffy Butt Acres: Stories of our flock

Went to the dr this morning. She ordered some more tests to figure out what is going on with my neck. I had several months of relief after my tonsils came out, but now it's the front of my neck bothering me. 🙄 Everyone seems to be doing well this morning, even though Fenix was very confused at...

Fluffy Butt Acres: Stories of our flock

I figured since Louis is a boy, he'd be more protective of her. I don't know if Spotty is a boy or girl yet so I left them in the run with the others. Vuitton has a good appetite. I will be giving them some scrambled egg later with vitamins added in. Hubby asked if I could move Delft and her...

When the blood dries I will spray some food coloring over top and put her brother in with her. I can split the runs in two, the hens will be mad they'll lose their tall nestboxes though. But I know the other silkie mixes picked at her too, we'll have to see who is nice after I get blue on her head.

Fluffy Butt Acres: Stories of our flock

Welp, they really tore into Vuitton. She is on the back porch in the hospital crate now, eating and sleeping. She's all ruffled up, should I try dosing her with children's tylenol or ibuprofen? She weighs over 500 grams according to my food scale. A non-gory pic of her current situation She...
