Well praise Jesus we did not get rain, just a High Pressure front from Canada that gave us a nice cool breeze and temps of 70 with humidity in the 50% range. VBS is going well, lower attendance this year, just in the 30s as opposed to the 70+ from last year. Pretty good for a church that only...- KNAndrs

11 of 12 hatched. 8 of 11 are under Reese Peanut Butter Cup, our Partridge Bantam Cochin. After initial rejection this afternoon she took them this evening. The light is off and all 8 are under her. Demolition complete. Now time to scrub and clean. Bleach first with the scrub brush then pinesol to make it smell good. Yes I know to wait until things dry to use it. Short answer, yes, why did you move to chick food? Are you providing grit and calcium? Both of those could be causing the lack of eggs. You may have a couple tomorrow just because the nutrition is different for the chick starter than layer feed.- KNAndrs

Well the wet junk is out of the basement and into trash cans and the trailer for free dump days for flood victims... Roto-rooter is coming out in the AM because my sewer line is clogged from the flood. Been pumping only when we need a shower. The chickens are happy they have 2 bales of dry...- KNAndrs

Started pumping water at 6pm. 6hrs later and it is starting to look good. The water level went up and down several times and it seems like only clothes and trash got wet. Now to rent a dumpster and get it loaded. KEN- KNAndrs
