Oh my they are too cute! Yes I ment extra chicks (packing peanuts). Yeah think both McMurray and Meyer want $40-45 for shipping plus $9 per duck. That's why I'm trying to get some input before making any pricey decisions. The closest hatchery to me was Ideal and too many mixed reviews plus...
Yes I looked into them also and I have no room for 10! Thanks for including a pic from McMurray that helps a lot, they are too cute! Did McMurray include "packing peanuts"? trying to avoid that also!
I'm looking into finally getting some runner ducks this year, I will prob need to order them online since I've never found any locally. Do any of you have runner ducks from an online hatchery? If so which one? Never ordered from a hatchery before and no clue who has good quality runners. I've...
I hard boiled a bunch of eggs today. Some had this odd green spot on the yolk but when I would slice it open there appeared to be nothing there. It was on all of my 6 month old KC eggs (hers are much smaller than my rouens) I've never seen this before on any of my other eggs. Is it normal...
I have 2 Rouens (about 2 years old) and their 3 "babies" who are 7months old however they are Rouen/Pekin Mix, well about a month ago the babies were laying, I was getting 4-5 eggs a day, past couple week I'm only getting 2 eggs, assuming from my Rouens bc they have always laid eggs daily even...
IMO I would as long as they are secured. I put mine out younger that than. Even when the lows are in the 50s. I put down extra bedding, didn't use a heat lamp. But that's just me.
I think also that you have to have so many posts on here before they allow you to start posting pics. Believe it's 10 posts. I guess something to do with preventing spam?
The child is almost 3, it was an accident and a lesson learned for the child (somewhat at that age) Kids make mistakes or sometimes don't understand the mistakes yet. Things happen....it's life.
No lol thank god! Bad enough finding the where they buried eggs in the house! I did find one in the pool one day I'm assuming from one of the younger ones. But other that they lay eggs in their house
How often do Pekins lay eggs? My Rouens hatched out 3 Pekin\rouen mixed babies, they are 7 months old. I was getting 4-5 eggs daily once the babies started laying other month, but past couple weeks I'm just down to 2 a day assuming it's from my Rouens bc they lay pretty much daily.
Did they have anything different to eat? Here's a thread to read through, I know nothing about poop
