Well, the only Rooster that "could" visit lives about a mile away, and couldn't get in our run!! Haha, I had no idea hermaphrodies were sterile.. While yes, joking, it had crossed my mind!!!
OK, NEVERMIND!!! I just watched an egg fall from this hen!!! What about this one?? I'm running out of options... Keep in mind this bird is molting on his/her neck pretty bad...
Naturally it's too dark now for me to get a new picture of my black one, here is a pic of my two black/white ones... The first one is ALWAYS in the nest and I'm pretty sure she lays...
2nd and 3rd pic are the same bird
This 11 month old is not laying, but also not crowing??? Any ideas?? I have 11 hens that do lay, flock of 12, and also have fertilized eggs? I know the body isn't very rooish but the face is starting too, I think
I am going to treat this weekend, am prepared to treat the flock, run and coop... I went way overboard and bought just about everything I could order online... So which is best? And how do I do it??
I have Frontline Spray, DE, Prozap Garden & Poultry Dust, and Ivermectin, (should I worm them...
That makes a bit more sense... It's super cold here, and they get crabby inside the coop... This is my first attempt and raising chickens and I get freaked out easily!! Haha, none of the other girls seem to have a problem, so I'm crossing my fingers it's not lice/mites... That REALLY freaks me...
