I am sure i have not put this in the right spot, sorry.
I use to have a link for eggs, it was a breed chart and it gave egg color and size for that breed. It also gave if that breed was for cold weather or not. Any clues?
Yes i thought that is what she was doing was taking on the role. I have had RIRs roosters before and do have hens. Oh i do have another one of this breed and she is most definitely a hen, her comb is small and she is a bit smaller. I guess not having spurs is what has me confused
I can't remember what breed, Jersey? No spurs and just started to crow. About 1.5 yrs old. It sits in the boxes like its going to lay but not sure if it has, always assumed it did. Other than the crowing it might do it does not act like other roosters i have had. Any help please
I should say that a few of my older(1yr) ones were doing it to the younger ones (5months) i freaked first time i seen one pulling on feather then freaked more when she ate it. i had a rooster so he had already ripped the feathers on most so they were kinda bare. they don't look good but i know...
I don't know how to stop them, mine did it and they stopped just as quick as they started and i didn't change anything. chickens are weird, just when you think you have them figured out they change. just like deer lol
just because chickens are given those items and they eat them does not mean that its good for them, as a grown you do know that right? kids love sugar but is it good for them? people love salt, is that good for them? same with smoking. for some people chickens are a business so why jeopardize...
You all should listen to mavrik. this guy will tell you what you want to hear to sell more of his product. just because one person does it does not make it good for everyone. you all know grit helps a chicken with digestion. this has not helped flo and jim will not pay to replace your loving pets!
yrs ago i used zodiak, i bought spray for dog and they died instantly! i went and bought more that could be used inside and for the yard. That stuff said it worked to also kill the eggs and i used it once a yr for that reason. now with chickens not sure that would be good. couldn't
Diatomaceous...

I add water to some the holes that my chickens dig to dust themselves in. They love playing in the puddles and drink from them. They could care less that the buckets are clean and have fresh water. Plus i was wondering why not cheap plastic fans are the metal ones better?
Mine took a month to get over her broodiness. I don't have a rooster anymore so after 2 wks i bought her some chicks, had her in a separate area in coop and at night placed the babies under her. They were fine first time i went out (630 am) 8am she had killed them. She just one day snapped out...
