    To Clip or Not To Clip, That is the Question

    If your old chickens haven't flown away, the new ones SHOULD do the same thing and stay around. You are right about if they did encounter a predator, they might want to be able to fly. Unless you start having troubles with them flying away, I would not clip their wings. It would just be easier...

    That sounds like a great idea!!! One thing to keep in mind when you are making a run, I honestly don't know if you have mink, but if you do, they can fit through a square inch so watch out with your netting and the ground. Otherwise it sounds like a great idea and a good use of materials...

    Goose adopting ducklings and still laying eggs?

    I have four embden geese and will be raising ducklings. I have three geese and one gander. I was wondering if I put them together would the geese protect the ducklings from hawks and still be nice to them AND Lay and hatch their own eggs? Thanks, any advice is appreciated!!!
