Back a bit rough...
I'm looking to purchase my first incubator, and so far I have been eyeing the Farm Innovators Model 4200 Pro Series. My question is will I need a quail egg rail to hold Old English bantam eggs or will the regular one that comes with the incubator work just fine?
First off that's a beautiful bird! As Hokum said, with a single bird it will bond more with it's owner more. I have my guy in a large parrot cage by himself and he'll coo and strut whenever anyone walks up to his cage. With Indian Fantails they're a naturally calm breed so it shouldn't be hard...
Since none of the stores around here carry Lucerne products, Lucerne rep put me in contact with a local distributor who could bring some in but I had to order a minimum of five at $19 each. When I went to pick the bags up from the local feed store the were delivered to, I was charge $23 each...
One of my OEGB hen laid six eggs within a week now and will most likely lay more. My question is, if I was to leave the eggs in the nest box, how many days can they stay cold before they go bad? Because she's not done laying so she's not sitting on them yet. I was thinking about taking the eggs...
lol these type of beddings are just not meant for chickens. Work well when you first put it in but just after a few days it got more dusty than any other type of beddings I have tried.
