Hello! I haven't been on in a while but I thought I would give this another try. I would like to re-home my flock. The gray EE and White Rock are the older of the two, about 4, and are still laying. My two other EEs are 2 years.
Feeder, water and electric door (which is awesome, timer and all)...
Help?
I have not posted in a long time, but I am looking or some help. My job, which I love, is going to change where I have to start going into the office full time vs. telecommuting. My ladies have enjoyed being in the backyard full-time with me being home with them keeping an eye.
Now...

Glad they are doing well! Now that they are not queens of the coop, they have their traps shut. Go figure.
Last night the glass patio table shattered, sending bits of tempered glass EVERYWHERE. I have a EE that enjoys flying over my coop fence to forage, so I had to go back an clip...

Glad to hear. Hope all goes well, and they enjoy their new digs!
I have two who STILL have no clue that they can grab the top roost. My EE was laying SIDEWAYS (really) on the roost last night

Hope the ladies are doing well during their transition. I have two ladies that have yet to figure out they can hop up to the higher roost now. So they crowd on the smaller one. The last (my EE) has the top rung all to herself!
Well, the noisy ladies are on their trek to Ethel, WA. May they sing their little hearts out!
Thanks to SadieSue, T-hi for getting them down to their new home.
Do they make fancy "pants" for the naked butt Orpington? Poor thing has no dignity... hopefully she will produce lots of eggs...

I will PM you. I need to get your address. I plan to pick them up early Sunday afternoon before DH and I head down to Yelm where I should be able to meet my connection (Kaneke). We'll get those birds to their new home!
PM'd

One of the three sings the egg song. But together, they like to *sing* in the mornings to clear their lungs for the day.
Anyway you all work it would be great. I have a month old son to watch, so getting out of the house for long periods of time is hard. (So many thanks in advance!)

Well, you are not THAT far away
Sounds like Kaneke may be offering up a relay !!!
Sounds fine by me. Kaneke?
When I say, LOUD, it could be totally normal hen behavior. It is just my other three are silent as the grave.
At least you will be able to tell the Orps apart, as one has...
Welcome back. Too bad you are not closer. I have room and they could sing all they want. Nobody would even notice them among the 4 local roosters and many in the distance.
Well, you are not THAT far away
Hello BYC'ers! It has been a very long time since i have posted. I need your help!
I have two Buff Orps and one Barred Rock that need a new home. They are FREE.
But before you consider them, take note:
THEY ARE LOUD!
That's right. 5:30 a.m., and they like to sing to the high heavens.

Well I have looked all over their yard, and the coop... no eggs. I went from 6 eggs from 6 birds down to 2 eggs, then 1, now nothing.
They seem to be eating and drinking fine. Behavior seems normal. Poop seems normal too. Are they just mad I clipped their wings and made their free range a bit...
