Thanks!
They both will stay until crowing then I have to decide which to keep
Sorry to say Fabio will be either getting a new home or visiting camp

He has taken to attacking my mom so he must go. Last thing we need is a fall and broken hips or something for my mom... sigh

Oh NO!!!!

You can't have a rooster attacking your mother, not even Fabio. Too bad you can't do something to put him in his place.

well -- I wasn't going to brag about eggs again ... but

another of my pullets laid her first egg this morning

I guess I really do have Easter Eggers, because this egg is PINK !

just in time for granddaughter Hailey to come visiting (they are coming today)

so now I have pale olive, pale mint, pale turquoise, pale robins-egg blue, and pale pink ...

SOMEBODY didn't get the blue egg gene .... probably Anitra, Becky, or Ginger ....
time to examine those combs a little more carefully

Sure I already have it made into something (in my little pea brain).

DH says that motor might run again if someone who knows what they are doing, fixes it, but he says there is a rusted hole in the air tank; says it is YOURS if you want it

I'm thinking, if you want those LOUD chickens (and no one else volunteers) , maybe we can put together a relay, or maybe we can be talked into picking those up and bringing all down -- I think that old compressor will fit into the Yaris if we fold the back seats

not today though ...

I think that CL is doing the Fair thing this week, if I remember correctly.

Which reminds me.....my Brabanter pullet with the best crest and spangling, lacks a beard. Can her offspring have beard, or will they be beardless, too? I don't know much about chicken genetics.

They can have beards. The beard vs no beard gene seems to run in my Creves, too. My rooster could certainly use a fuller, thicker beard but seems to be producing much nicer beards than he, himself has. All but one of my hens have great beards, though.

I wish I had more birds to choose from, but I only have five pullets and one cockerel. The other pullets have lacing and penciling going on as well as spangling.

Sounds like Kaneke may be offering up a relay !!!

Sounds fine by me. Kaneke?

When I say, LOUD, it could be totally normal hen behavior. It is just my other three are silent as the grave.

At least you will be able to tell the Orps apart, as one has a naked butt
