THANKS EVERYBODY !! I my hubby just left to go and get 120 quail eggs in the LG and we put 2 OEGB eggs under our silkie . Its seems that the silkies have the vote on the best incubating, brooder , adn the BEST LIL MAMA !!! Geebs I agree with them hatching dinos out of rocks .. we had a silkie go...
Thanks Lemurchaser !!! Kittymomma ..she was given to my daughter and I don't think she was ! I have checked her for mites/lice she don't have any... she still is acting the same .. and she is just skin, feathers and bones ...we have her inside by herself and she is still tail feathers down ...
WOW THANKS EVERYONE FOR EGGUCATION IN THE INCUBATING PROCESS !!!! I have a lil gaint and a silkie .. I am scared to try the lil gaint ( power going out in storm and worrying about have done everything right .... etc.. ) To set eggs you go by the moon ..RIGHT ! I mean thats what my hubby and me...
Just wondering if a Silkie would sit on any type of egg ...even if she did not lay them ? I have a incubater ..but I was looking more on the " lets save energy bill " part . If any body can help thanks alot !

I posted a topic a few days ago about my daughters OEGB WHeaton she has not been acting normal ...down tail feathers.. fluffed feathers.. not eating well , pale in the face, justs sits with her eyse closed most of the day ..no sound at ALL ! and her droppings are runny with some mucus ..I found...
ok as you can see I did find 1 worm in her droppings .. gave her wazine in her water ..and have not found any more worms .. but she has really lost alot of weight and still not acting right ! I dont know what else to do ! If somebody ANYBODY can please tell me what to do .. she justs sits there...

hello all ! my buff orp. hen did the same thing today ( shell less egg , she laid it right in front of me when I went to feed them ) she has been laying for about 5mths. She is the first one do this ... but she acts fine and went to eating after she laid it ....

My daughters OEGB black pullet's comb is a pale pink color ... she is eating and drinking and acting just fine and her droppings are normal . But her comb is pale ? Does anybody know what this could be . Thanks Oh no other chickens are sick or acting different . She is in a cage by herself also...
We have a Black tailed Buff roo and we love him ! I do need to find him a lady or 2 ! He is " true short legged " does that really make a diffence ? Just wondering ....I really do LOVE my lil guy !

Hello All . We went to the show also this past weekend , our oldest daughter was in the 6-10 yr old Showmanship and she Placed 5th ( this being her VERY FIRST SHOW !! ) And she had 3rd place for her OEGB Wheaton Pullet " Gingerbread" . We are sooo very proud of her !! AND YES IT WAS SOOO...
