We recently constructed a run for our chicken coop, and I now realize now that we failed to make the fence tall enough. All of our chickens have a clipped wing, but one of our EEs is still managing to get out. I am getting really tired of having to go outside and toss her back in ten or twelve...
@polarbearpilot Thanks! I like it too. It's good to hear that most people are leaning towards pullet. We are about to go on vacation, and it would not be good if it started crowing while we were gone...Our house/animal sitters would most likely not enjoy that lol. I'll put up a post when we...
So I posted a thread with pics of this "girl" and "her" sisters, but since then, this guy has shown more signs of being a rooster. Just wondering what you guys think. It is quite bigger than the other two, and looks a lot different shape-wise. Thanks.
Oh and in the last picture, it is the one...
My batch of chicks this year consists of 3 easter eggers, and they just turned 4 weeks old. I was wondering if anyone could take a guess at their gender. Also, if you have an idea of what they might turn out looking like, that would be great as well. Thanks!

@Knowon Special Great! You can have her! Unfortunately, we cannot meet you halfway, sorry. You should DM me about the meet up plan.
PS: Sounds like you guys take great care of your chickens! I know she will be happy.
Sorry, but we were hoping to get her off our hands before then...You sounded like the perfect place! If we are not able to find her a home before then, I will definitely contact you.
Our EE named Olive is getting a bit too chatty for our neighbor's liking, and we unfortunately have to find her a new home. She consistently lays sky blue eggs (almost every day right through winter!). She does not really like to be held, and is a little skittish (has nothing to do with the way...
I would also like to add that I don't really feel very comfortable with the free-ranging idea, because a pair of hawks recently moved into the neighborhood...
My hens are loud. Really loud. Especially in the mornings, when people are trying to sleep. I think that they have gotten quite spoiled, and think that they can be let out whenever they want. I try to resist, but then they just keep squwaking, and I can't have the neighbors call the cops. That...
I just had a question, and I will admit I didn't read this whole thread, so I don't know if someone answered this or not...but if you treat chickens that do not actually have bumblefoot, could it affect them at all? Could it stop it from starting?
